Space missions: Apollo 7

American space mission Apollo 7, had on board the following crew: Donn Eisele, Walt Cunningham and Wally Schirra as commander, was launched from Cape Kennedy, Florida, on October 11, 1968.
The vessel was placed in an orbit of 227.8 x 283.4 kilometers (123 x 153 nautical miles). The primary objective of Apollo 7 mission was: "Demonstrating reliability Command Module / Service and crew, demonstrating the capability of coupling Command Module / Service with other vehicles in orbit." For nearly 11 days, control module has undergone a series of tests. Almost without exception, all ship systems were prepared.
The propulsion system of the service module, which is designed to take them in and out the lunar orbit, worked perfectly during the eight tests, each lasting from half a second to 67.7 seconds.
The mission took place during the orbital revolution 163 with a crew that was the first live TV signal sent into orbit, providing first vision of space, people on Earth.
Space vehicle had a normal entry into the atmosphere on October 22 and landed as planned, with an error of 2 km, down in the Atlantic Ocean southeast of Bermuda.
